celebrating Mom's and Mother's Day...again Part 5 - Meet Kathleen

Can you believe Mother's Day is on Sunday?! Our last mom in our Celebrating Moms and Mother's Day series is Kathleen.

I moved to Peoria AZ 3 years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area where we lived, working and raising our twin daughters, for more than 30 years. We used to travel to Arizona for golf trips with friends and really love the desert and the climate, so we planned to retire here when the time was right. Both girls left California for college and ended up staying in Arizona. One lives in Scottsdale with her husband and new son, and the other now lives in Chicago with her husband, 4 year old son and new daughter.

We stay busy playing golf, walking our Jack Russell Terrier, Augie, and entertaining friends. My husband took up cooking in retirement and he's pretty amazing in the kitchen! It's been nice to give up cooking and relinquish control of the kitchen. We see our Chicago kids and grandchildren every 3 to 4 months and our Scottsdale grandson weekly. I recently bought an Apple ipad so we could all facetime!

I have always loved jewelry and accessorizing. I am especially attracted to jewelry that looks like art which is why I love Andrea's pieces. I love the organic simplicity of her work and the colors of the stones she uses. The pieces I have purchased make a statement and are elegant. Before the last holidays I was on the website looking at the items for sale for myself when I saw the family collection. I thought the children's names necklaces would be great gifts for my daughters given their recent new arrivals! The necklaces are beautiful and they were thrilled!

I want to say a huge thank you to the 5 moms who participated this year. I hope you have enjoyed reading about them!
